Mary Jo S. Korona is a founding partner of Leclair Korona Giordano Cole LLP. Her litigation practice focuses on a wide variety of commercial matters that include employment, warranty and insurance coverage claims, creditors’ rights, real property disputes, foreclosures, tax certiorari and other proceedings involving municipalities and matters involving disputes among shareholders, partners and members of corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies as they relate to buy outs, dissolutions and breaches of fiduciary duty.
She has successfully represented clients in proceedings before state and federal courts, federal and state human rights agencies, mediations and arbitrations. In addition, Mary Jo advises clients on employment issues.
Mary Jo is designated a “Best Lawyer” in the category of Commercial Litigation and she is listed in Super Lawyers Business Edition for Business Litigation and Super Lawyer of Upstate New York in the areas of Business Litigation and Employment law.
Mary Jo is a regular contributing columnist to the Daily Record and she has authored articles on a variety of litigation topics. She has served on several panels in support of continuing legal education courses sponsored by the Monroe County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association with respect to the Rules of Professional Conduct.
Mary Jo is an active member of the Monroe County Bar Association (Past Chair Law Practice Management Committee, Ethics Committee and Litigation Section). She is a Sustaining Member of the Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys, a member of New York State Bar Association’s Commercial Litigation Section and the National Association of College and University Attorneys.
